Introduction to data loading

The Data Loading page allows you to set up your study by specifying a study name, selecting the organism of interest, and selecting your dataset(s). Here, you can define, which of your experimental conditions to investigate, tailoring the analysis to your specific research aim.

Setting up your data in Omics Studio

To begin using Omics Studio, you need to set up your dataset and add comparisons. When you first access Omics Studio, your dataset will already be preloaded by our team, so you can start right away.

Data settings

Configure your data as follows:

  1. Study name: Add your study's name
  2. Organism: Select your study's organism. This selection is crucuial, as it determines the bioinformatic databases to syncronize with your project. Ensure selected organism reflects the raw data.
  3. Expression data: If you have multiple datasets, you can select between the datasets here.

Add comparisons

Here, you can choose the specific comparison(s) you want to investigate in the coming session. Thus, it functions as the first potential level of filtration of your data. You will only be able to see data from the choosen conparisons.

  1. Click + Add to add your first comparison.
  2. Name your comparison, e.g., "X vs Y".
  3. Select your Statistical data.
  4. Select your Enrichment data.
  5. To add more conditions, click + Add again.
  6. Click 💾 Save once all comparisons are added.

💡 Save your new project

Be sure to save your new project in Workspaces. For detailed instructions, see the documentation here.
